Charity care is available for those who qualify. Long Term Home Health Care Program Nassau, Suffolk, and Queens County residents who have demonstrated a need for placement in a skilled nursing facility may qualify for this program. Participants must be eligible for Medicaid or must be able to pay their own expenses, and have a responsible party involved in their care. Meals on Wheels Cost of the Meals: A person over 60 can elect to pay the full cost of the meals or pay a part of the cost. The amount is up to each individual's ability to pay. Food stamps are accepted. Payment may be made weekly or monthly.
