ROSLYN SAVINGS FOUNDATION SHAPES THE FUTURE The Roslyn Savings Foundation is helping to shape the future of the VNA of LI, our clients and their families through their ongoing support and commitment to our organization. Their generous grant, earmarked for our Telehealth Program, will enable the VNA of LI to expand upon the ways we focus on health promotion, disease prevention, diagnosis, consultation, education and therapy. By monitoring a client's condition through this valued program, our nurses are contributing to measurable and sustainable improvements in client safety, costs and overall quality of care.
Visiting Nurse Association of Long Island Ranked Among Top
The Visiting Nurse Association of Long Island has been named to the 2007 HomeCare Elite, a compilation of the most successful Medicare-certified home health care providers in the United States. This annual review identifies the top 25% of agencies, ranked by an analysis of performance measures in quality outcomes, quality improvement and financial performance.
VNA OF LI REAPPOINTED TO ADVISORY COUNCIL
Nassau County Executive Thomas R. Suozzi and Social Services Commissioner Dr. John E. Imhof have reappointed the Visiting Nurse Association of Long Island to the Nassau County Department of Social Services Advisory Council for the term October 1, 2007 through September 30, 2008.
VNA of LI CELEBRATES 95 YEARS OF HISTORY & SERVICE
To celebrate its rich history and traditions, the Visiting Nurse Association of Long Island "teed off" with a 95th Anniversary Celebration & Tenth Annual Charity Golf Classic at the Huntington Country Club. The celebration culminated with a celebratory dinner that brought together past honorees, supporters and friends.
LAGUARDIA’S GM HONORED BY VNA OF LI
Distinguished honoree Warren D. Kroeppel, General Manager, LaGuardia Airport for The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, recently brought the success of the Visiting Nurse Association of Long Island’s (VNA of LI) Fifth Annual Bridgid Noreen Fife Memorial Luncheon to new heights. The event benefited the VNA of LI’s Maternal Child Health Program which serves the community's underserved maternal-child population, remembered Bridgid Noreen Fife who died of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome, and recognized Kroeppel for his outstanding community service.

Heart Associations Go Red For Women campaign. Go Red For Women
celebrates the energy, passion and power women have to wipe out heart
disease and stroke, improve heart health, and live stronger, longer lives.
